Chula Vista International Raceway Hosts Nation’s Top Off Road Racers Led by FABTECH / TRD Toyota / Toyo Tires / Monster Energy sponsored - Rick Huseman for the CORR Lucas Oil Rounds 5 & 6.

Riverside, California (June 5, 2007) Rick Huseman Racing heads to CORR Chula Vista International Raceway this weekend with high expectations as he is set to battle against the top drivers in short course off road racing during rounds five and six of the 2007 CORR season.

After three rounds of Championship Off Road Racing, Rick Huseman has a combined 28 total points leading towards the 2007 CORR Series Point’s Championship.  Currently tied in sixth position, Rick is a mere 13 points behind the leader.  Two of three races have seen Rick Huseman drive his #36 FABTECH / TRD Toyota / Toyo Tires / Monster Energy race truck to a top five position and he claimed the second spot on the podium at the Los Angeles County Fairplex a few weeks ago.

“The battle for the top spot is pretty close right now.  Six or seven drivers are within striking distance of Johnny Greaves.  I’m really looking forward to the new track and the chance to race here for the first time.  We raced in Chula Vista in 2006, but Jim Baldwin has brought together a new and improved track located a few miles from the old site.  This track is a permanent track that will host a contingent of international racers for years to come.  Our team is excited for the debut of the new track and I’ve seen the challenges that racers will face at this new course and it’s going to be tough.  The elevation change, mammoth jumps and fast racing is definitely going to demand full attention from all the drivers in order to reach the podium.  Last season, we set the fastest qualifying lap on Friday and I don’t see why we can’t repeat our performance from last season.  The crew has worked very hard on the race truck and the fans will see a very competitive race truck this weekend,” commented Huseman.

Developed in 1983, Championship Off Road Racing™ (CORR) brings high action four wheel motor sports, including 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive trucks onto closed course off road tracks. The 2007 CORR season includes seven events in Los Angeles and San Diego, Dallas and Las Vegas.

CORR is divided into two series, Pro and Sportsman. The Pro Series is composed of three divisions: Pro 4 – Full-size 4wd race trucks, V8 engines, 800 HP; Pro 2 – Full-size 2wd race trucks, V8 engines, 800 HP; and Pro Lite – Compact/Mid-size 2wd race trucks, 4 cylinder engines, 300+ HP. The Sportsman Series is made up of two buggy divisions: Single Buggy -- Limited to a 1600cc VW Type 1 engine; and Super Buggy – Featuring a 1650cc water cooled power plant.
